The conference aims to bring together postgraduates and early career researchers who study the relationship between free-market reform and political change. We welcome submissions from a range of disciplines and topics, including but not limited to:
– New forms of trade unionism and/or reshaping of ‘old’ trade unions
– Social movements against privatisation
– Citizenship contests
– Forging of political subjects in the neoliberal era
– Contestation of the neoliberal transformation of the state
