Applicants are required to hold an excellent PhD in sociology, political science or economics and a research focus in economic sociology. Excellent English is essential. The post is for an initial three-year period in accordance with WissZeitVG (the German law on temporary employment of academic staff). The successful applicant may be given opportunities to habilitate and teach within the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (http://imprs.mpifg.de ). We offer excellent working conditions in an internationally oriented research institute. The institute is centrally located in Cologne and has easy access to public transport. Pay and benefits depend on qualifications and accord to the German public sector pay agreement (TVöD Bund).
